Corrections Policy

The Toronto Insider is committed to transparency and accountability. If we publish inaccurate or incomplete information, we address it promptly and openly.

When Corrections Are Issued

Corrections are issued when:

  • A factual error is found

  • A quote is misattributed or incorrectly transcribed

  • Important context is missing

  • A misleading headline or phrasing requires clarification

Types of Corrections

1. Minor Corrections

Small grammatical or formatting errors may be fixed quietly unless they alter meaning.

2. Standard Corrections

These include factual errors. A correction note will be added at the bottom of the article explaining the change.

3. Major Updates

If an article significantly changes due to new information:

  • A note labeled “Update:” is added

  • The date and nature of the update are stated clearly
