New bakery coming soon to Toronto is making a bid for the city’s favourite cookies

Published on

A new bakery is on its way to Toronto, making a bid to become the city’s favourite spot for cookies. The city’s love for cookies is well-established, with numerous locally-owned and international chains already catering to the city’s sweet tooth. However, this new entrant, Cookeys, aims to bring something fresh to the table. Specializing in cookies, this bakery is preparing to open its doors in the winter, hoping to satiate the city’s never-ending craving for delicious baked goods.

Cookeys: A New Cookie Destination in Toronto

Located at Yonge and St. Clair, Cookeys is the latest addition to Toronto’s thriving bakery scene. The bakery’s unique logo, a skeleton key with a cookie for a bow, is a fun nod to their specialty. Unlike many other bakeries, Cookeys is focusing solely on cookies, aiming to carve out a niche in the city’s bustling food scene.

What to Expect from Cookeys

Anastasiia, a member of the Cookeys team, shared some insights with blogTO. “Cookeys is a premium cookie and coffee concept focused on handcrafted, generously sized cookies made with high-quality ingredients, paired with carefully selected specialty coffee,” she said. The goal, according to Anastasiia, is to create a warm, welcoming space where cookies are not just a treat, but an experience — something comforting, joyful, and made with real care.

Quality Cookies and Coffee

When Cookeys opens its doors, customers can look forward to hefty, chewy cookies, a full suite of coffee-based beverages, and a warm, welcoming interior. Anastasiia further shared their plans for the opening, “We’re currently preparing for our first location in Toronto and are hoping to open around mid-February,” she said. “This will be our first business in Canada, and we’re excited to become part of the local food scene and community.”

Joining the Local Food Scene

As the city of Toronto eagerly awaits the opening of Cookeys, one thing is clear: the city’s love for cookies is only growing. With a dedicated focus on creating an exceptional cookie experience, Cookeys has the potential to become a new favourite amongst locals. Toronto’s cookie lovers won’t have to wait too long to try what Cookeys has to offer, with the bakery slated to open in mid-February at 1430 Yonge St.
