The 5 most gorgeous buildings completed in Toronto in 2025

Published on

In the heart of Toronto, the architectural landscape is ever-changing. Despite a significant slow down in the city’s building boom compared to the 2010s, there were some incredible projects that came to fruition in 2025. The 5 most gorgeous buildings completed in Toronto in 2025 range from innovative condos to impressive institutional landmarks, each contributing a unique aesthetic to the city’s skyline.

5. TRCA Head Office

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority

As the focus on sustainability continues to shape architectural designs, the new head office of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) at 5 Shoreham Dr stands as a testament to eco-conscious construction. This four-storey building, designed by ZAS Architects and Bucholz McEvoy Architects, is one of the few certified zero-carbon buildings in the city, made primarily from mass timber, a low-carbon and abundant building material.

4. Artists’ Alley

Breaking away from the trend of standard condo towers, Lanterra’s three-tower complex on Simcoe St. introduces a unique aesthetic to the city. The complex, designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, includes a tower with an eye-catching latticework faux exterior bracing system. The tallest tower of the complex stands at an impressive 39 storeys, enhancing the cityscape around Nathan Phillips Square to the east.

3. EQ Bank Tower

Although not the tallest structure in the city, the 23-storey EQ Bank Tower, completed in mid-2025, adds a distinctive charm to the emerging King East skyline. Developed by First Gulf, the building features a bold design by Sweeny & Co Architects, combining a crystalline glass volume with a preserved Art Deco heritage building.

2. Limberlost Place at George Brown
