On the other hand, Sellon, a 6-0, 185-pound junior from Fremont, Nebraska, led the NAIA with an impressive 123.6 receiving yards per game. The duo’s consistency in delivering top-notch performances has been a significant contributing factor to Morningside’s success.

Other Notable First-Team Selections

Joining Chevalier and Sellon on the first team is William Penn’s (Iowa) running back, Destynd Loring. The senior, who hails from Charleston, South Carolina, led the NAIA in rushing with a whopping 1,949 yards and 30 touchdowns.

From the defensive line, Thomas Ibrahim of Southeastern, Florida, made the first team. The graduate player, standing 6-3 and weighing 255 pounds, hails from Ocoee, Florida. Ibrahim led the NAIA with 11 sacks and 24 tackles for loss, making him a formidable force on the field.

Indiana Wesleyan: Most First-Team Selections

Among all schools, Indiana Wesleyan had the most first-team selections with three. This achievement testifies to the quality of talent and the high level of performance exhibited by the players of this school. The selection of the All-America team was made by a panel of sports information directors at NAIA schools, emphasizing the credibility and recognition of this honor.

In conclusion, the NAIA All-America team is an acknowledgment of the hard work, skill, and dedication of these athletes. The inclusion of Zack Chevalier and Drew Sellon as repeat first-team selections underscores their significant contributions to their team and the sport. Their performances have not only earned them individual recognition but have also put Morningside on the map as a force to be reckoned with in NAIA football.
