NBA scores: Johnson scores 25 points and Spurs win 7 straight with 130-110 win over Thunder

Published on

In a thrilling series of games in the NBA, the San Antonio Spurs continued their hot streak, winning their seventh straight game, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 130-110. Leading the charge for the Spurs was Keldon Johnson, who contributed an impressive 25 points, with teammate Stephon Castle not far behind on 24 points. This marks the second victory for the Spurs over the Thunder in just 10 days.

Spurs’ Winning Streak

The Spurs have been a force to reckon with, winning 14 of their last 17 games, propelling them to second place in the West. Victor Wembanyama’s streak of consecutive games with at least one block ended at 101 games. However, the Spurs were just relieved to have him on the court, following an injury scare that had him marked as questionable on Monday. Wembanyama still managed to make a significant contribution to the game, finishing with 12 points.

Thunder’s Performance

Despite the loss, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shone for Oklahoma City, scoring 33 points. Jalen Williams chipped in with a further 17 points. The Thunder has experienced a slight dip in form, losing three of their last five games, a stark contrast to their 24-1 start to the season. Their fourth loss of the season was by far their worst, with the previous three being by margins of 2, 2, and 5 points.

Other NBA Games

In other NBA action, LaMelo Ball had a standout performance for Charlotte, scoring 23 points and providing nine assists. The Hornets managed to pull away in the fourth quarter to secure a victory against Washington. Michael Porter Jr. scored 28 points for Brooklyn in a win over Philadelphia. Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors were able to defeat Miami, with Scottie Barnes scoring 27 points and grabbing eight rebounds.

Looking Ahead

As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see if the Spurs can maintain their winning streak and if the Thunder can regain their early-season form. With many more games to come, the NBA continues to promise high-quality, exciting basketball for its fans. The performances of standout players like Keldon Johnson, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, LaMelo Ball, and Scottie Barnes continue to electrify the league and keep spectators on the edge of their seats.
