Pro Picks: Liking the Rams, Bears and Panthers in first-place showdowns

Published on

The excitement of Week 16 in NFL is reaching its peak with nine road teams touted as favourites, including two teams that will be playing for the top spot in three of the four NFC divisions. The most anticipated games include the face-off between the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks for first place in the NFC West, the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears battling for the NFC North title, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers vying for the NFC South title.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks both hold an impressive 11-3 record and are set to clash this Thursday night. The Rams have been performing strongly under Coach Sean McVay, especially with quarterback Matthew Stafford who has a 6-0 record against Seattle. However, the Rams will likely be without Davante Adams, their star wide receiver, due to a hamstring injury. As for the Seahawks, they will need to up their game after not scoring a touchdown in their recent 18-16 win over the Colts. The game is predicted to be close, with a tentative score of Rams: 23-20.

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears

The Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears are set to meet for the second time in three weeks, this time on Saturday night. The Packers have had a solid season with a 9-4-1 record but will be feeling the loss of their star pass rusher Micah Parsons. On the other hand, the Bears, with a 10-4 record, have the second-best running offence in the NFL and could take advantage of Green Bay’s injury-hit defence. The score prediction favours the Bears with a close 26-23 victory.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Carolina Panthers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers, both with a 7-7 record, will face each other in the first of two meetings over the final three weeks. Despite a string of losses, the Buccaneers are still road favourites, with quarterback Baker Mayfield boasting a 5-0 record against the Panthers. However, the Panthers have performed well as underdogs, holding a 7-5 overall record. The predicted score favours the Panthers with a 26-24 victory.

These match-ups are shaping up to be some of the most exciting games of the season. With the stakes high and the competition fierce, fans can expect some exhilarating football in the coming weeks. As the teams prepare for these crucial games, they will be banking on their experience, expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness to secure victories. Stay tuned for more Pro Picks as we continue to analyse and predict the outcomes of the NFL’s biggest games.
